THE ROLE
Location
To be able to offer our customers 10 + weeks of continuous supply of the highest quality cherries, we have 3 growing regions. This role is based at our Maintenance Workshop in Yarck, regional Victoria where our Head Office is also based. On-farm repairs will be required from time to time at multiple sites across our 3 regions / 12 farms encompassing Cobram, Strathbogie Ranges and Alexandra/Yarck.
Our 70 permanent full-time staff usually reside in country towns within a 40 minute commute to Yarck including Mansfield, Eildon, Euroa, Alexandra, Yea and Seymour.
The role and its responsibilities - Mechanic / Service Technician
You will be the engine behind our farming operation, responsible for ensuring that our machinery is running smoothly and efficiently.
You will want to become part of a hands-on team who love diagnosing, servicing and repairing a variety of equipment from tractors to chainsaws and everything in between (utes, trucks, slashers, sprayers, harvest trailers, farm utilities) to provide optimum reliability.
It is your role to ensure stoppages, machinery performance issues or breakdowns are rectified in a safe and timely manner with a good level of fault-finding skills.

This is a fulltime position all year round which builds up to a busy harvest period from October to February.
The off season involves a lot of planning, coordinating and carrying out preventative maintenance.
This seasonal component keeps the job interesting and offers variety with the opportunity to undertake further training and development.
The landscape and views on farm are truly stunning all year round.
The Team
You will join a dedicated and talented maintenance team of 4, reporting to our Workshop Supervisor and supported by our In-House Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
Our Farm Managers, Operations Manager and Facilities Manager are also on hand to guide you.
Your Experience
The successful applicant will be reliable, honest and self-motivated.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- Hold a diesel mechanic/technician trade qualification or 3-5 years' experience working with farm machinery.
- Ideally have some experience working on cars and utes
- Basic welding experience
- Good computer skills, possessing strong attention to detail to ensure completion of work orders, accurate reporting and maintenance of necessary records for compliance.
- You will be a problem solver who has a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Current drivers' licence and own reliable vehicle
- Current forklift licence preferred
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills with a mechanically minded approach
- Excellent work ethic
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing demands
